Over time data that you stored on hard-disk get fragmented or disorganized. Fragmented files slow down your computer. Windows also includes disk defragmentation utility but it works slow and doesn’t show the detail information about fragmented files. Here is a list of 2 third party software to keep your hard disk organized:

1. SMART DEFRAG: it is a stand alone utility comes from Iobits, the famous Advanced System Care. Smart defrag not only defragment the files, it also optimize the file placement by keep the frequently used files apart from rarely used file. This optimization reduce the time needed when windows try to locate a files on hard disk drive.
2. ASUS LOGIC DISK DEFRAG: Is another free defragment utility software that is easy to use. It shows us the detailed about hard disk usage and fragmented files. Asus Logic Disk Defrag Interface couldn’t be any cleaner or easier to use.

With the above software I keep my computer performance almost like new. I regularly defragment my hard-disk twice a month. I have both software installed, since it doesn’t hurt to use the combination of the two.
