Rebirth of Cambodia national airline is a new pride for Cambodian. I just curious about the name of the airline, Cambodia Angkor Air is ok, but can we just use the more simple term like other countries:
- Vietnam: Vietnam Airline
- Thai: Thai Airway
- Singapore: Singapore Airline
- Malaysia: Malaysia Airline
- France: Air France
- and many more………….
Why can’t Cambodia airline just Cambodia Airline? or something like that? Cambodia Angkor Air sound good to me, I just see the simple term is the easiest to recognize as a national carrier.

Angkor has become too much a cliche for everything Cambodian. I can’t understand either why we can’t just make things simple if not more creative. “Cambodia Angkor Air” is too nice for me to bear.
And oh! Forget about the website. It is more Vietnamese than Khmer.

keyword for Google? that make sense. But I don’t think that decision maker have thought of that.
We’ve heard too much of Angkor these days. I think the word national is often misused in other situation too. Like Angkor National Museum, there should not be national in it, because it is private own.

What some Sopheaktr said might be true as I have met some Japanese who asked me “Is that Angkor Wat in Cambodia?”
