I have to say I am impressed by the shallow depth-of-field and crispy sharp images, produced by fast prime lens. Prime lens has many limitation in composition, but it is overcoming the limitation that makes the photography fun.

Today UPS delivered my new lens for my Canon 450D, it is Cosina 28-210mm F4.2-5.6. I’ve read some review about this lens before buying. Guess what, the review is was not good, slow auto focus, soft images, and most of the users would say it is the worst lens they ever have.
The first thing I do with the lens is attach it to may camera, and take a photo at 210mm. To my surprise the image was sharp even with that zoon range without any stabilization system. To be honest I expect the worse, as people often say, in photography you only get what you pay for. And I only pay around $140 for that lens. Guess what?
